General Purpose:

Support the daily yard operation by gathering information and informing management to plan daily operations. Execute the daily plan provided by team leaders. Be motivated and follow management instructions in order to effectively maintain and improve efficiencies of the yard operation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily activities and dispatching all scheduled loads to the plant. Communicate to staff these schedules and ensure that the order is made. Resolve any issues that may arise in a timely manner and keep management apprised of any issues
  • Maintain all systems that correspond with the operation, scheduling, and sampling of loads to the plant. Monitor empty tankers of all categories. YMS, HMI, yard checks, audit and shuttle reports
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets with daily audit information, dispatched loads to plant, and all laboratory testing information when necessary. Enter all information into appropriate systems
  • Ensure all documentation is within required compliance of the plant and PMO. This includes, but is not limited to, manifest, sample vials, weight tickets, and laboratory testing information
  • Work with haulers to ensure timely delivery to the plant and maintain the maximum efficiency of the haulers for support to the shuttle operation, LUL and slip seats
  • Communicate with haulers and management concerning all events and any issues that could affect normal operations
  • Elevate issues with haulers for any issues or concerns between hauling companies and the yard operations and/or with the plant. Document and turn into management
  • Perform Clean in Place (CIP) of tankers while ensuring proper chemicals, pressure, processes, and safety procedures are being followed. Assist with external washes to reach the daily goal
  • Support a positive environment that fosters high performance and exemplifies positive and team-oriented values in daily activities
  • Work closely with all personnel from the plant, lab, receivers, management, and support their operations to ensure accurate information (documentation) and daily orders are being met
  • Promote a safe working environment with haulers, contractors and other personnel on DFA property, equipment and assets
