** Shift: Wednesday – Friday 6:00am – 4:30pm, Saturday 5:00am – 3:30 pm **

Job Summary:

Operator will perform daily duties including the operation and maintenance of the WWTP facility. Will work alongside current 1st operator to achieve daily tasks. Will also work in lab to perform tests to ensure water quality. Will work on Saturday to complete.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by manager

• Carry out preventative maintenance such as oiling machines, replacing worn parts, etc.

• Assess and repair equipment in a timely manner in house or help to coordinate outside repairs.

• Keep stock of all Spare parts, Tools, and Maintenance manuals for wastewater equipment.

• Conduct Safety checks on emergency equipment (eye wash and showers).

• Change bag filters for Main well and Well ##1.

• Clean DAF Lines every Saturday.

• Help maintain facilitate grounds by mowing in the summer and shoveling walkways in the winter.

• Learn and perform basic wastewater Pretreatment plant processes.

• Take meter readings and calculate totals.

• Operate DAF machine and conduct regular cleaning.

• Monitor sludge production and disposal.

• Convey information to maintenance on required repairs.

• Mix chemical polymers and adjust dosage.

• Conduct basic lab testing for water quality.

Required Qualifications(Due to the high volume of applicants, only those who meet the minimum qualifications will be selected for interviews):

• Knowledge of Wastewater treatment plant processes.

• Basic algebra skills.

• Prefer 3-5 year of Maintenance experience.

• Experience with a variety of common motor and pump types.

• Experience with electrical work for motors and lighting.

• Experience with repairing and replacing piping.

• Previous Wastewater Experience preferred but not required.


Must be Proficient in English, all reportable forms are in English. Must be able to record information in English.


Ability to login and perform routine training.


Wastewater license preferred but not required


Take a proactive role in assuring safe, quality products are produced by immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns.


Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly.

Extended time spent on feet.

Ability to climb ladders.

Ability to lift and move hoses for cleaning.

Ability to take periodic walks and at varying lengths.


Outside environment which is subject to changes in weather. Must be prepared to walk outside in all conditions including heat, rain, Snow, wind, and icy conditions.

Inside environment can be wet and humid where there is active water flow. Ground and other surfaces may be wet.
