Key Accountabilities:

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the foreman material handler determines order priorities and schedules, and coordinates work of the material handlers. The material handlers delivers palletized materials to both the Production and Packing Depts., loads trucks with finished product, unloads deliveries, places palletized cases in the frozen warehouse, and assists where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Always operates the forklift in a safe manner.
  • Prepares, picks and stages customer orders for shipment.
  • Places palletized cases in their assigned space in the frozen warehouse.
  • Delivers daily Production and Packing Depts. materials to assigned areas.
  • Loads trucks with palletized product or materials to be shipped.
  • Unloads palletized deliveries to plant.
  • Records documents for material and production products accurately and in a timely fashion, and places completed documents in their designated place. Processes SAP functions, including but not limited to Inventory Subcontracting and receiving goods
  • Reports mal-functioning of Forklift or other equipment immediately to supervisor/maintenance.
  • At the end of the shift or day, connects the Forklift to the battery charge.
  • Safely stacks the empty pallets in an organized manner.
  • Reports or repairs, as appropriate, any damaged materials generated when operating the Forklift.
  • Completes duties in accordance with quality assurance, GMPs, safety and other company programs and procedures, and in accordance with government codes and regulations.
  • Maintains clean, organized and safe work area, including wiping and washing equipment and tools; sweeping and mopping floors; and trash removal. Reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the acting supervisor.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 -2 years in warehouse or stockroom environment
  • Forklift Certification
  • Basic Office & SAP preferred
