  1. Job Summary:

The title for this position will be Warehouse Associate. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Associate will be a key member of the Warehouse and Operations team and will own primary responsibility for ensuring production has their needs met. This position will have a responsibility to assist with warehouse duties to include, but not limited to ensuring overall inventory accuracy, pulling/staging orders for shipment, receiving product and additional warehouse functions. Hours 9am - 5:30pm

  1. Scope of Responsibilities & Duties (summary not comprehensive):

The Warehouse Associate must be a self-motivated, action-oriented executor, ensuring inventory accountability. This person will also be responsible for properly recording necessary DEACOM transactions timely and accurately, performing cycle counts, and implementing the lot code management system. The Warehouse Associate will be the Warehouse team leader on inventory accountability. Additionally the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for meeting their Minimum Job Requirements as outlined in Section C herein. Management reserves the right to change or add to these duties at any time.

C. Minimum Job Requirements

  1. Warehouse Function

    1. Take finished goods from production by transferring items to the warehouse location and record all associated DEACOM transactions timely & accurately (including lot codes for traceability) by utilizing the scanners or desktops.
    2. Perform regular inventory cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and ensure production tags are being placed on stored product.
    3. Consolidate pallets using first in / first out.
    4. Making sure that production has any items needed included but not limited to pallets, glass, drums, and other raw materials.
    5. Performs regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  2. Shipping & Receiving Function
    1. Assist with picking and staging product for outbound shipments when necessary
    2. Accurately enter all bin locations and lot codes on pick lists for Logistics Coordinator
    3. Enforce stock rotation practices using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) Practices. This is done by using the ERP system DEACOM to ensure correct product rotation.
    4. Assist with receiving and inspecting inbound shipments as necessary
    5. Must do his or her daily cleaning duties
    6. Clean and inspect his or her forklift daily
    7. Must work all Saturdays if production is scheduled. (exception if previously scheduled vacation time on the preceding Friday or following Monday)

D. Essential Job Functions (Mental/Physical)

  1. Ability to withstand high stress situations and meet demanding deadlines.
  2. Knowledge of production procedures and machinery.
  3. Must be alert and able to identify a hazard, should one occur, in order to avoid it by reporting immediately or by initiating corrective action.
  4. Must be capable of effectively and calmly communicating with co-workers and/or management regarding instructions, needs and/or conflicts, and work in a fast-paced, sometimes highly stressed environment.
  5. Must have some knowledge with computers and scanners.
  6. Push/pulls and maneuvers objects of varying weight with or without assistance.
  7. Stands and walks up to 4-10 hours per day on concrete surfaces while performing duties.
  8. Constantly uses hands and fingers to hold and handle objects and equipment required in performing job duties. Handling may be done unilaterally (one-handed) or bilaterally (two-handed) depending on size and shape of object and task being performed.
  9. Speaking and hearing is essential and required for effective communication.
  10. Vision acuity required to read and prepare reports.
  11. Must be mentally alert and capable of remembering faces, names, oral instructions and details.
  12. Work in warehouse environmental conditions: Temperature is of a wide range of degrees and noise levels due to a high amount of time spent in warehouse.
  13. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances, stoop, bend, kneel, walk have full dexterity and correctable vision.
