SUMMARY: The role of the Warehouse Associate is to support and assist the Warehouse Manager in all aspects of picking, packing, receiving and movement of goods within the warehouse, freezer, cooler and dry goods warehouse.

Education and Experience:
1 year of previous warehouse experience required.
Minimal High School education or valid work permit.
Experience with basic computer functions preferred.
Previous experience with Scan guns preferred.
Previous experience with a warehouse management system preferred.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract whole numbers.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to recognize and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment and diplomacy.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, lift, walk, operate a pallet jack, and reach overhead. The employee is frequently required to push/pull, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Typical work environment is a refrigerated warehouse. Typical temperature range between 0 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
Responsibility for Quality and Food Safety: All persons employed or associated with American Custom Meats are responsible for the quality and food safety of company products. The food safety and quality policies are summarized and communicated during training sessions.
