My services have been retained to recruit a Vice President of Operations located in small community outside large eastern MA metro for an established privately held global food company. Facility located in historic community offering fine schools, good health care, thriving businesses, cultural attractions, many great outdoor recreational activities and a superior quality-of-life. Our client is a national leader in it's industry segment.
Position reports to the President and is part of executive management team and oversees operations at 200 person nonunion facility leading manufacturing strategies. Responsibilities include managing manufacturing systems to ensure high quality products achieving cost effectiveness within budget costs supporting engineering, quality and logistics departments. Advise the latest manufacturing technologies and trends to streamline productivity and lead future vision/growth of company. Direct develop staffing, material efficiencies, and processes according to organizations business plan.
Position has good plan for upward mobility for senior level candidate or candidate with less experience to be groomed into larger role expanding into engineering and logistics .
Prefer candidate with 10+ yrs. food/beverage or high level manufacturing management experience (minimum 5 years in upper management). Require Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science or related technical discipline, prefer Masters degree.
Salary in $150,000 to $180,000 range with up to 25% bonus potential as well as competitive benefits, future profit sharing, etc. Relocation assistance limited according to needs and prefer candidate from Northeast/New England region…local candidate a plus.
