This role&##39;s core purpose is to manage the process of getting new vendors onboarded into the USF Direct channel. This involves being a bridge between the USF Direct merchandising managers and the vendors, to own the onboarding process until vendors are active and selling through the Direct channel.
USF Direct is our direct-ship eCommerce channel, providing customers with online access to an endless aisle assortment of items, all shipped quickly with clear tracking information directly to their location.

This position has been segmented as blended meaning the work is a combination of onsite in Rosemont, Illinois and remote/virtual as defined by the role segmentation.


- This role is to manage through the onboarding process - either through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) or the Vendor Portal - with each new vendor. Responsibilities include taking over process ownership after the kickoff discussions with the vendor and seeing through to the first sales for the vendor in Direct
- Additionally, if the vendor is new to US Foods, this role is responsible for all the activities relating to setting up vendors as a US Foods vendor, working with the vendor team
- Responsibilities also include setting up the appropriate USF Direct vendor information (e.g., Purchase-From Vendor information) in the systems and ensuring they are correct for each market
- Working with the Direct Operations analysts, the Vendor Onboarding manager is responsible for setting up the daily, weekly, and monthly reporting process with the vendor.
- Manage the overall transition of CES DDS (Culinary Equipment & Supplies direct-ship) vendors into USF Direct
- Create and manage training documentation for the Vendor Portal, working with IT and external software providers
- Responsible for ongoing development requirements of the Vendor Portal based on feedback from members of Direct team and others
- Other duties as assigned by manager



• Bachelor&##39;s degree required.

Related Experience/Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in process management roles, continuous improvement, or other relevant area.
