Position Summary:

Work with the various Utility Systems for processing Utility and data information including payments, accruals, and energy usage. Role model and demonstrate the company&##39;s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Balance general ledger accounts and provide appropriate detail each period
  • Analyze reports for accuracy of accruals and alert divisions of possible issues
  • Oversee special projects requested by managers/controllers
  • Assist manager with coordinating work of associates verifying all desks remain current. Redistribute work as needed for department coverage and utilizing time efficiently
  • Assist manager with coordinating and producing results through others in a manner that exemplifies our core values
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position/Education Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Business Objects, Microsoft Word, Excel, and 10 key
  • Proficient in Kroger Payment Systems and Vendor Book
  • Detail oriented and accurate
  • Professional in dealing with controllers, other division personnel, stores, customers/vendors & other departments
  • Develop a working relationship with divisions, promptly following up on request. Keep divisions informed of large or unexpected entries affecting their accounts
  • Proven excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
  • Self-starter
  • Assist in training and development of associates
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures
  • Actively identify new areas for learning; regularly create and take advantage of learning opportunities; using newly gained knowledge and skills on the job and learning through their application
  • Ability to take prompt action to accomplish objectives; taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive and following up to ensure completion
  • Highly organized and proficient at multi-tasking
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high change environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of files, conversations and documents
