Drives commercial equipment with class A CDL for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of goods to our customers or other facilities.


  1. Deliver eggs and egg products to retail, food service, and manufacturing facilities as scheduled and unload or assist in unloading o the product as requested by the customer.
  2. Reconcile all deliveries with invoices.
  3. Record product lot numbers accurately on all invoices/delivery logs.
  4. Records temperatures of trailers accurately and specified times.
  5. Monitor the function of all equipment (vehicles, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) and report malfunctions to the Warehouse Lead or Transportation Supervisor.
  6. Maintain route book (Electronic Logging Device, aka ELD)
  7. Pick up empty egg baskets, racks and credits (Make appropriate notations)
  8. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
  9. Maintain a good working relationship with all warehouse personnel, drivers, and office staff.
  10. Inform Transportation Manager of any safety concerns, equipment issues, injuries or any other pertinent issues as soon as they arise.
  11. Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment; such as hard hats and steel-toed safety shoes, as necessary.
  12. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  13. Operate truck and trailer safely; in accordance with all Department of Transportation standards and regulations.
  14. Have and maintain a good driving record; reporting any driving violations to the Traffic Supervisor.
  15. Must follow all DOT rules and regulations.
  16. Ensure good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and acting in a courteous and professional manner. If a problem arises, call the Transportation Manager so that the problem can be corrected.
  17. Must take and pass an initial drug screening, as well as random screenings to follow.
  18. Must have and maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiners Certificate.
  19. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.


Must be at least 21 years of age.

EDUCATION:High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years, four seasons of semi-driving experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers.

REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.


Must hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License and have the ability to operate a semi, straight truck, forklift, pallet jack, dock leveler, and any other pertinent equipment.
