Lyons Magnus is seeking a Training Coordinator at its Beloit, WI Facility.

Job Summary

A member of the Human Resources department, this position is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and auditing the onboarding and on-the-job training processes to ensure operations employees are properly trained to successfully perform and continuously improve their jobs of production and related activities in a manner that supports the operations of production of the organization at the Beloit, WI plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Working with employees and leadership to develop and coordinate the plant training processes.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding process for operational employees and ensure all steps of the process are completed within the 30/60/90-day timeframe. Administer the new hire surveys and track and monitor results.
  • Working with employees and frontline leadership, develop, maintain, and improve training checklists, job aids, and job breakdowns.
  • Conduct train the trainer courses and ensure integrity of the training processes. Ensure the best possible trainers are in place. Ensure training metrics are met. Work directly with employees.
  • Administer the record keeping and the training auditing process including providing auditing metrics to the Operations manager and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Utilize tracking software to create and validate trainings.
  • Act as a resource to coordinate and lead Continuous Improvement efforts in the plant. This will include training and coaching on the application of Lean principles and tools such as 5S, root-cause problem solving, visual controls, pull systems, kaizen events, etc. Monitor the results.

Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor&##39;s degree and a minimum of three to five years&##39; experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent years of training and experience.
  • Preferred background and knowledge of on the job training in a manufacturing environment
  • Preferred background in Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Previous experience working as a Training Coordinator role is required
  • Instructional experience in a group business setting preferred
