POSITION: Maintenance Tech I

REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Maintenance

Position Summary:

This is a TEAM oriented person who will be responsible for the safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs, as well as, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of packaging machinery, pneumatic systems, motor controls, and miscellaneous industrial electrical wiring. Must ensure efficient production and compliance with all company quality, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices policies and procedures.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnosis and repairs to plant machinery and equipment in a high-speed environment, knowledge of high-speed Horizontal & Vertical Form Fill Seal equipment as Laudenberg, Roberts, Rovema, VolPack, Haysens. High-speed weighing systems, food detection systems, X-Rays, laser sorters, knowledge of food processing equipment, Dry-Roasters and oil roasters, knowledge of SAP is a must.
  • Must be able to perform maintenance on equipment in a safe, clean and efficient manner (LOTO).
  • Order parts as required for mechanical repairs.
  • Responsible for documenting day-to-day activities and reporting (SAP).
  • Perform maintenance on equipment in a safe, clean, and efficient manner.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenanceon equipment(PM’s)
  • Submit Work Orders, Work Request(WO, WR)
  • Permanent and Temporary Repairs on equipment
  • Tracking documenting daily task(PM01) hygienic, preventive, permanent and temporary repairs
  • Perform mechanical electrical troubleshooting
  • Most have analytical skill
  • Basic PLCknowledge

  • 1 – 3 years of Maintenance experience
  • Ability to understand electrical schematics
  • Ability to work at a fast pace under pressure
  • Must be willing to advance skill level through training
  • Strong problem-solving abilities

Physical Requirements:

-Standing for long periods of time; lifting up to 50lbs.; exposure to noise levels requiring hearing protection.

-Exposure to and or use of tools and/or work activities that may require various forms of PPE.

-Working at heights and at a wide range of external temperatures.
