Our client is a world leader in laboratory equipment and services, and has an opportunity for a Sales Representative for its industry leading analytical instrumentation used in R&D laboratories. This position will be based in the Richmond area and covering a VA, MD & DC territory.
- The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for direct sales of Rheology instrumentation products and services to R&D customers in various industries like academia, food, beverage, plastics, oil & gas, etc.
- Primary responsibilities include both the effective management of existing customer accounts and the generation of new accounts.
- The successful candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and be capable of communicating equally well with PhD level scientists and QC technicians.
- Candidate must have a B.S. degree in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or similar technical field and at least some experience in technical sales of analytical instrumentation.
- Overnight travel.
