The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for all aspects of recruiting for the organization and plays a critical role in ensuring it&##39;s hiring the best possible talent. The main goal is to efficiently and effectively fill open positions. The Talent Acquisition Manager will develop local and national recruiting plans using traditional sourcing strategies and new, creative recruiting ideas. They also may test applicants and extend job offers.


  • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates; advising managers; and managing relocations and intern program.
  • Establishes recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and objectives and meeting with managers to discuss needs.
  • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, and using newsgroups and job sites.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, verifying references, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
  • Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranging travel, lodging, and meals; and, escorting applicant to interviews.
  • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers and interviewing applicants on a consistent set of qualifications.
  • Improves organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices; monitoring job offers and compensation practices; and emphasizing benefits and perks.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes human resources and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Develop and track goals for the recruiting and hiring process
  • Collect data on cost per hire and time-to-hire
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
  • Conducting reference checks by verifying employment information and contacting the professional and personal contacts provided by the candidate.
  • Completing timely reports on recruitment activity

Recruiter Abilities, Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ability to communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
  • Ability to work with various departments on filling open positions and fostering teamwork.
  • Able to effectively screen potential candidates.
  • Ability to review candidates&##39; applications and decide whether or not they meet the qualifications to be considered for positions.
  • Familiarity with relevant employment Law
  • Professionalism, organization, and project management skills

  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods without much movement
  • Ability to work in time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines

Education and Experience

  • 4+ years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously
  • Strongly prefer a minimum 2 years&##39; experience recruiting in food/consumer packaging industry environment
  • Bachelor&##39;s degree preferred.
