About the role

Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this person will lead all supply chain management processes and activities across the different supply sites to the benefit of external and internal customers and supply chain operations. The role will also ensure that the following activities are planned, organized and controlled to meet agreed targets and KPI s set, from receipt of order through to dispatch to customer at lowest total cost, including:

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure production planning is aligned to meet demand
  • Reduce out OOS and excess inventory thus reducing costs
  • Achieve inventory, cost targets and system objectives
  • Working with plant to reduce capital and carrying costs and reduce OOS
  • Develop and implement logistic cost savings by analyzing supply, demand and tracking spend
  • Develop and implement supply planning meeting at each plant as part of the S&OP process
  • Develop continuous improvement processes, modify existing procedures, minimizingcosts, increasing accuracy, and improving customer service
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and create action plans to take advantage
  • Focus on improving tactical activity allowing the Directors to focus on strategic growth

Qualifications and skills

  • Relevant degree and supply chain qualification or working towards qualification.
  • Good experience in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access and ERP systems
  • SAP experience is essential.
  • Supply chain management (including tactical planning) experience within food manufacturing.
  • Experience of managing process and people improvement
  • Establishing/demonstrating/reviewingKPI s to meet operational needs through effective collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of information.
