Job Title: MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

Summary Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings, and grounds by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Directs workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, equipment and furnishings of buildings.
Directs technicians engaged in diagnosing and replacing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
Ability to work tactfully, harmoniously and effectively with management, customers, vendors, contractors and/or visitors.
Maintain 5S methodology in all work areas.
Directs workers assisting other departments as requested, including moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.
Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies.
Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Manages a team of Facilities, Electrical and Mechanical technicians. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization#39;s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Physical Demands: Must be in good health and able to lift 50+ pounds.
Work Environment: Employee is regularly exposed to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, varying weather conditions, heat and cold, noise, and risk of electrical shock.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree preferred.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing facilities maintenance preferred.
- Should have experience working in liquid fill or other consumer packaging.
- Must possess the ability to work with all levels of employees in the organization.
- Must be well organized, results oriented, & have effective problem solving ability.
- Must possess strong leadership & team building skills.
- Must be computer literate - Microsoft Office Programs & AX is desirable.
- Show good judgment and sound reasoning skills.
- Must have a strong floor presence and be able to interact effectively with people at all levels.
- Bilingual English Spanish preferred.
