Oversee and administer the daytoday activities of the DFA Retirement Plans in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Corporate guidelines. Is responsible for the integrity of the retirement data in all systems. Lead and/or participate in retirementrelated projects and represent the retirement function in broader HR initiatives. Perform a wide range of assignments and problem resolution, often of a complex nature requiring indepth subject matter knowledge, functional experience, and judgment. Function as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keep abreast of all current and applicable laws to ensure compliance with current government regulations and ensure adherence to all corresponding legal and compliance updates relating to retirement plans
  • Proactively find inefficiencies in processes and suggest process enhancements, document suggestions and present proposals to management
  • Report on trends, analysis, and experience of retirement plans to management
  • Proactively apply analytical and research skills to monitor trends and elevate issues due to data variances
  • Research and respond timely to inquiries from past and current employees with regards to their Retirement benefits
  • Is responsible for the integrity and updating of the retirement data pertaining to employees and participants in all systems including Fidelity, ADP and all other thirdparty vendors
  • Reconcile and fund employee and employer contributions into Retirement Plans on a weekly basis; prepare wire transfers and check requests for retirement plans
  • Reconcile, log and submit for payment all thirdparty plan expenses and invoices
  • Reconcile 401k match amounts annually and post trueup adjustments to participant accounts as appropriate
  • Calculate and post annual employer contributions (SBRP, Discretionary Match, etc.) into employee accounts and ensure letters are sent after year end by due dates
  • Oversee the enrollment process of employees in all Retirement benefits to ensure compliance with plan documents, guidelines, and policies. Update and review deductions in ADP system
  • Coordinate all required data and responses for nondiscrimination testing
  • Serve as point of contact for all audit requests both internally and externally and responsible for providing all requested information in a timely manner
  • Coordinate PBGC filings and payments in conjunction with Plan Actuary
  • Maintain database of predecessor plans to ensure appropriate vesting, accruals, payouts, etc.
  • Maintain plan documents and coordinate any necessary amendments with ERISA council and others
  • Ensure timely distribution of all necessary summary plan documents, notices, forms, etc., as legally required to plan participants
  • Assist with the coordination, development and delivery of retirement related employee communications including meetings, webinars, mailings, trainings, etc.
  • Support merger and acquisition activities for retirement plan data
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers through first line resolution and response or follow up until resolution is accomplished
  • Manage individual workflow to coincide with numerous deadlines
  • Document and maintain procedure manual for all job duties
