Sr. National Account Manager

The Senior National Account Manager will represent the company to National Accounts within an assigned geographic area in a wide range of formal and informal formats. The Senior National Accounts Manager reports to a Director of National Accounts and may have National Account Representative(s) reporting to him or her.

Job Responsibilities:

  • New sales to approved National and Regional Chain Account prospects in established territory
  • Management of existing National and Regional Accounts in continually building a positive relationship, increased sales and profits through menu penetration
  • Meet annual sales contribution goals across the total existing and new accounts base
  • Prospect and pursue new account opportunities in conjunction with the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management tool
  • Gain all company product and appropriate equipment knowledge necessary in developing the consultative sales and representation role with all current and prospective accounts
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations with prospective and existing accounts on any new product sales opportunity
  • Work as an integral team member among the National Accounts Division in sharing, supporting, and any group projects required as they occur
  • Establish a positive working relationship with all company internal departments including but not limited to Marketing, Product Development, Equipment and Service, Manufacturing and Operations, Global Sourcing, and Chain Supply
  • Develop contacts in the industry and stay abreast of industry trends, always conducting one’s self in a professional manner in any industry involvement
  • Develop competency in all product categories that company sells. Match product solutions to customer needs and opportunities through consultative selling. Lead the customer to the company solution
  • Work on special division or company-based projects
  • Train new Sales Representatives or Managers
  • May be called upon to develop a new geographic market or to devise sales plans to attack a market segment
  • Increased budget development and sales management responsibility
  • Greater importance of strategic thinking and collaboration with direct report towards better meeting division and company-based objectives


  • 5+ years national account sales experience; or 10 years food service sales experience (preferably in beverage category)
  • College degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of coffee, tea and emerging beverage products
  • Knowledge of coffee and tea equipment to include repair, install, and troubleshooting
  • Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office products
  • CRM experience
