Job Description:

The Sr. Manager, Information Technology, plans, manages and controls the activities of a team that provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Considered a working leader at TreeHouse Foods, actively contributes to the solution by bringing experience and identifying subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to identify, interpret and produce recommendations based on company system needs. Advises business groups by providing technical direction to identify and address highly complex business issues and opportunities. Leads large scale initiatives to analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision. Leads a team of leaders, direct reports and/or contingent workers. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient operation of the function.

Position Responsibilities:

Human Capital Development Management
  • Develop each of his/her assigned team members by fully leveraging all facets of IT career development.
  • Ensure effective development and delivery of Performance Reviews and midyear reviews for all assigned and (when applicable) matrixed personnel.
  • Actively manage / ensure creation of individual development plans and associated training plans for assigned personnel ensuring they are both feasible and in line with organizational goals.
  • Actively coach others toward demonstrating all behaviors defined by the TreeHouse Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Provide input to staff calibration activities and talent management reviews.
  • Closely collaborate with Human Resources and peers to fill personnel vacancies and enable career opportunities.


Business Partner / Supplier Relations and Product Delivery
  • Achieve alignment of work efforts with business partners based upon mutual agreed upon objectives.
  • Implement project deliverables on time, within budget and in accordance with specified levels of quality.
  • In collaboration with business partners and suppliers, develop, implement and ensure ongoing execution/continuous improvement of measured service level objectives balanced with cost control.
  • Develop and leverage partnerships (and relationships) with business partners and suppliers to meet business needs.
  • Effectively measure and report results of service and development work to business partners in terms that they see as valuable and understandable.


Change Leadership
  • Develop and execute organization change management plans using established methods.
  • Ensure frequent, continuous and effective communications across IT, with key suppliers and business partners via both formal and informal channels/mechanisms.


Process and Technology Management
  • Lead others to exploit available processes and technology.
  • Ensure disciplined and consistent use of established methodologies, tools and techniques to plan, organize, actuate and control delivery of IT products and services.
  • Lead assigned personnel and others to work with process and architecture owners to continuously improve solutions to technical and business problems.


Planning and Fiscal Management
  • Develop and execute resource plans that enable successful business operations and, when applicable, business transformation.
  • Ensure (owned and matrixed) resources are allocated in line with tactical plans and in consideration of priorities.
  • Ensure adherence to assigned project(s) and operational budgets.
  • Provide input to IT service and product strategies.


Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Requires 8-12 years Information Technology/position related experience, minimum of 3-5 years leadership experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of key tools within respective area (see Addendum).
  • Knowledge and experience of core competencies within respective area (see Addendum), preferably within Consumer Products Manufacturing, Food and/or Private Label industries.
  • Exchanges complex technical and/or nontechnical information with colleagues and immediate superiors and/or customers.
  • Required to interpret or clarify complex technical information to aid understanding.
  • Conveys complex information to audiences not knowledgeable of the subject matter.
  • Develops recommendations to promote complex ideas or services within area(s) of responsibility.
  • Requires objective review of complex work problems, obtaining cooperation or approval.


Education:



High School or equivalent



High School plus specialized training (min 6mos-2yrs)/College Certificate (Canada)



Associate Degree/College Diploma (Canada - 2-3 years)
