Sr D365 Solutions Engineer in Mount Prospect IL

Mizkan will be migrating from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 (on premise) to Dynamics 365 (cloud) for the areas of Finance, Sales, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to assist in design, development, implementation and support of the AX/D365 environments, integrations with other systems and reports such as SSRS and Power BI. This role will participate in all phases of the development life cycle such as assist in gathering requirements, creating/reviewing specification documentation, providing hands-on technical expertise to develop code and integrations ultimately designing and delivering architecturally sound solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop solutions to support Microsoft Dynamics AX/ D365 environments
• Gather requirements and create specification documentation
• Write code and perform testing to ensure deliverables meet business requirements/specifications without errors
• Ability to develop custom reports per requirements documents and standards
• Design business processes and data flows and support the development of integrations (leveraging REST/SOAP frameworks) between Microsoft Dynamics D365 applications and other 3rd party applications.
• Create & maintain reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI
• Creation and support of SQL queries
• Develop data migration tools for migrating customer&##39;s data into AX/D365
• Providing go live and post-implementation support
• Create written business requirements and technical specifications
• Utilize Agile development methodology when applicable
• Code and perform testing to established standards and best practices
• Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses
• Provide Dynamics end user support to technical and non-technical users as needed
• Perform administration and performance monitoring of the Microsoft Dynamics D365 platform and integrations
• Work closely with 3rd party providers to ensure appropriate delivery of services (i.e. specification and code reviews, testing of their work, etc.)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience of 4+ years with Dynamics AX 2009, AX2012 or D365
• 4+ years of experience working on Microsoft AX/D365 Finance, Operations, Supply Chain extensions, reports, and integrations, as well as providing IT support
• Strong background in ERP concepts, such as Finance, sales, customer service, supply chain, allocation, planning, manufacturing, production, and distribution
• Reporting experience such as SSRS and Power BI to create and deliver reports & dashboards
• Strong SQL database experience, including experience connecting multiple data sources (SQL Server, DB2, Excel, etc.)
• Knowledge of React, C##, .NET Core, Java script, JSON is a plus
• Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents
• Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines
• Experience with EDI services
• Experience working with Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Azure DevOps. creating Azure Dev Ops build, release pipelines and deployment process.
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
• Excellent communication (written and oral) skills when working with end-users and fellow team members
• Solid organizational skills and focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a team environment
