The Senior Application Developer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Data Warehouse applications. The Senior Application Developer will work across business functions to deliver high performing applications that are scalable and maintainable. This person will also be responsible for applying technical knowledge, skills, and judgment to solve problems relating to Outages, Application performance issues, and specific user requests.

The work is completed 100% remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.


  • Lead development activities to be assigned to a team of 1-3 developers;

  • Work with minimal supervision and provide status updates and escalation to leadership as appropriate;

  • Develops detailed system requirement specifications and technical design documents for small, medium and large business functions;

  • Develop high-quality code and configurations for new applications, databases, interface programs and write Unit Test cases to verify the correctness of functionality;

  • Conduct and participate in code reviews as part of oversight into team delivery

  • Document code, FAQs, system functionality, setup documents, and support resolution processes;

  • Develop, coordinate and release targeted application bug fixes.

  • Provides application support as part of an on-call rotation to work on resolving outages and user questions.



  • B.S. in Computer Science required. Master's Degree preferred.

Related Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience building high performing Data Warehouse applications, with emphasis on cloud platform.


  • Proven ability to design and implement applications using best practices.

  • Proven ability to analyze and understand existing processes and code.

  • Works and communicates effectively with all levels of management.

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be a team player.

Proficiency in:

  • AWS - required; Azure/Google cloud acceptable

  • Snowflake required

  • ETL Tools: Informatica Power center required; Informatica IICS - Nice to have

  • Build tools - Git Repositories/ SVN, ANT, Maven, Bamboo

  • Python, Borne Shell Scripting

Familiarity with:

  • AWS services like VPC, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EMR, Cloud watch, RDS. ECS, EKS is nice to have.

  • Continuous Improvement/Continuous Deployment

  • Bit Bucket a plus but not required

  • AGILE Development

The following information is provided in accordance with the Colorado Pay Equity Act. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In Colorado, the expected compensation for this role is between $79,500 and $125,000. This role is also eligible for annual incentive plan bonus.
