POSITION RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY:

  • Develop, manage and provide leadership for the operation of Savor Street Foods, Inc. Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program (e.g., Food Defense Program, Allergen Program, Gluten Free Program, HACCP Program, mock recalls, GMPs, Safety, Kosher Certifications – our products and raw materials, Environmental/microbiological monitoring programs).
  • Lead and manage initiatives/projects to insure compliance and perform internal audits of processes and documentation at the plant(s) location(s) for GFSI certification.
  • Manage the centralized customer/consumer response program. Develop/maintain process for complaints from direct customers and consumers, including recording of complaints, investigation of the cause of the problem, reporting of complaints (trend analysis) and follow up communication with customers and consumers.
  • Serve on Product R&D Team (HACCP and Food Safety).
  • Keep current on SQF Requirements and Regulatory Requirements across the industry.
  • Work with Sr. Director of Purchasing as needed.
  • Develop and maintain finished product specification documents.
  • Review product labels for accuracy and regulatory compliance from a quality assurance standpoint.
  • Maintain accurate nutritional and ingredient panels – paper and electronic.
  • Participate in plant inspections of suppliers/vendors to Savor Street Foods, Inc.
  • Participate in plant inspections of our plants by our customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

  • BS in Food Science, Biology or Microbiology or BA in Management with knowledge of SQF.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Reports to Sr. Director Customer Service
  • Supervises: N/A
  • Works with all plant personnel including management
