Our Jonestown Distribution Center, a 218,000 sq. ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7, is currently seeking a Team Lead to join our Shipping Department.The essential function of this position is to lead the shipping department in attaining the goals and objectives for the designated shift, assisting with validating outbound loads and ensuring shipments are processed timely per company standards.

Shift: 2nd shift (6:00pm – 5:30am) working an alternating 3 day-4 day work week (equivalent to working approx. 14-16 days per month)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all outbound shipments are properly packed and loaded, according to Mastronardi safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate any personnel issues to the shipping supervisor
  • Communicate daily with other departments to ensure shipping related issues/problems are resolved timely
  • Responsible for the prioritization and assignment and distribution of daily workloads to department personnel
  • Provide backup support for department admin clerk or supervisor as needed during absences
  • Reviews outbound work orders and paperwork; ensure all records are accurate and complies with SQF standards
  • Provide training and attendance assistance to the shipping supervisor
  • Validate outbound loads, verifying all orders have proper product and quantities before shipping
  • Maintain department databases and reports using Microsoft Excel and NAV systems
  • Other tasks as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Minimum 1 year\u0027s experience operating a Stand-up Forklift
  • Intermediate skill level Microsoft Excel
  • Basic math skills
  • High level of attention to detail

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in our refrigerated warehouse with 50° F temperature controlled zones.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation
  • Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending, squatting, and crawling on a regular basis
