Requirements:

  • BS in an Engineering discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or related)
  • 3+ years of process and/or manufacturing engineering experience; experience in nutraceutical/pharmaceutical/CPG (specifically foods and/or beverages) preferred.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and FDA regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies and Statistical Process Control
  • Experience in project management of cross functional teams supported by outside resources, contractors or equipment suppliers. PMP or similar preferred.
  • Experience interpreting/creating P&IDs, PFDs in AutoCAD or other, and familiarity with authoring functional descriptions of equipment and systems.
  • Experience in creation of validation/startup plans for processes and equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Design, optimize and document manufacturing processes that ensure consistent operation across shifts
  • Qualify and validate processes and equipment used in all production areas.
  • Define process windows and implement processes control measures that ensure controlled inputs and consistent quality outputs.
  • Identify and lead efficiency improvement initiatives that increase throughput and lower costs.
  • Lead continuous improvement exercises of existing/processes/systems.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to troubleshoot manufacturing and operational issues.
  • Improve product flow by process mapping, identifying constraints, and maximizing throughput.
  • Work cross-functionally to develop and implement ideas for improvement.
  • Completes risk analysis and proactively works to prevent process failures
  • Identify areas for automation, work with internal and external resources to execute.
