Description: Our client, an iconic, global fresh food manufacturer, is currently seeking a Senior Associate Marketing Manager to add to their top marketing team! The Sr. Associate Marketing Manager is responsible for building and maintaining the brand/product portfolio of strategic product segments including bowls and snacks. He/she will work closely with key functions across the organization including sales, customer development, insights, finance and R&D to ensure delivery of profitable new products that meet consumer and customer needs. In addition, the Sr. Associate Marketing Manager will assist in all areas of brand management to drive business results including Private Label, and will develop deep knowledge of the business, customers, and the competitive landscape.

Position Responsibilities:

Consumer Insights and Business Acumen

•Understands relevant marketplace dynamics and other key issues leading to appropriate recommendations for the brand&##39;s marketing mix (e.g., product quality, pricing, promotions, distribution).

•Analyzes category, brand and competitive trends and dynamics leading to key conclusions and implications.

•Has a pulse on trends and category landscape that can influence product development pipelines.

•Partners with the Director of Marketing to develop/execute short and long term marketing objectives for Segment/Brand.

•Provides monthly analysis in the areas of consumption and shipments and category dynamics -- generates a monthly scorecard.

•Partners with R&D and Sales to drive prioritization of projects and related opportunities based on size of prize and strategic considerations related to the customer.

•Works with Procurement to manage inventories of film, labels, cartons, containers, etc. for assigned customers.

Innovation & Renovation

•Leads project management efforts through the Product Development Process (PDP) by initiating passports, preparing business case information for Gate reviews, ensuring progress at Action meetings and working with cross-functional team members to successfully launch new items.

•Leads Segment Action and Task Force meetings to develop critical action tasks and timelines for all current and future new product projects. Updates project status in preparation for weekly segment meetings.

•Leads the development of packaging graphics modification projects. This includes working with agencies, internal cross-functional teams, other segment leaders, Sales and directly with customers to ensure smooth product/graphics development and launches.

Branding and Marketing Execution

•Acts as brand champion in all areas of the marketing mix, including: product definition, direction of packaging graphics, development of selling materials and sales presentation materials.

•Assists Portfolio team management in the planning and execution of trade and consumer advertising and promotions.

•Works collaboratively with Sales team to drive growth with retailers striving to reach the RPF consumer and assists in the development of selling and customer presentation documents. •Develops and executes packaging development.

•Develops and executes customer marketing support plans, with input from Sales and the customer.


•3+ year experience in the retail packaged goods industry or related experience. Retail food industry experience or Produce experience a plus. Prior marketing experience.

•College degree required, MBA a plus.

•Excellent planning and organizational skills

•Good analytical skills/computer literate

•Strong writing skills

•Home cooking and or culinary experience and interest in food trends a strong plus.

•Travel: some months may have no travel and other months may require up to 30% travel with overnight stays. Frequent weekend work at consumer events required.
