The Scientist in this role discerns and translates voice of consumer/voice of customer and consumer insights into actionable technical applications and broader business implications and influences business leaders and allied functions to ensure best path forward based upon research results.

This Scientist must have an acute sense of sight, smell and taste to fulfill the job requirements (please read below to learn more about why this is).

Additionally, this person:

Represents the voice of the customer and consumer to influence innovation pipelines and identify opportunities to improve consumer product experience demonstrates obsession with actual product performance and experience by consumers and customers.

Drives consumer research and sensory programs across multiple product categories (primarily infant formula), with an emphasis on agile and flexible tools to drive innovation

Designs learning plans and oversees the execution of various consumer product tests, including central location tests, descriptive analysis, discrimination testing, and qualitative / observational methodologies.

Works closely with Analytical Research & Development to design and embed sensomics program.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in Consumer-Sensory Science (major) with a Chemistry minor preferred. with at least four (4) years of relevant professional experience.


Completion of Master s degree in Consumer-Sensory Science (with Chemistry as an undergraduate preferred) with at least one (1) year of relevant professional experience.

Competencies & Skills Requirements:

Must have an acute sense of sight, smell and taste to fulfill the job requirements.

Organized, observant, interpersonal skills, excellent analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, verbal communication and presentation skills.

Familiarity with project management methodology , demonstrated ability to lead project teams and mentoring of other scientists.

Knowledge of and experience with technology tools to support the function including excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite environment.
