Responsible for cleaning/sanitizing of production equipment according to the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures


  • Maintains cleanliness, sanitation and upkeep of production equipment and production areas in accordance with Company and regulatory agency quality and food safety standards.
  • Efficiently disassembles and assembles production equipment for proper cleaning.
  • Adheres to all GMP guidelines in the performance of job.
  • Is aware of the chemical properties and proper use of cleaning solutions and applies knowledge in their proper use.
  • Keeps accurate cleaning records of equipment, areas in accordance with SSOP s.
  • Keeps chemical room orderly and clean at all times.
  • Ensures that chemicals are properly labeled and stored.
  • Follows rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • No experience necessary
  • Spanish and/or English literacy elementary level
  • GMP/HACCP Certification; CPR/First Aid Certified

Work Enviroment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed required to work near moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
  • Occasionally exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather), and to rapid changes in temperature.
  • Must be able to tolerate a work environment that contains flour dust.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can get loud.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk; and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and color vision.
