Job Title: SANITATION TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY: The Sanitation Technician is responsible formaintaining sanitation of bottling lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.Other duties may be assigned.
Using common maintenance machine and handtools.
Remove, clean and reassemble plant equipmentand conveyors.
Must maintain maintenance records of equipmentin accordance with cleaning
Monitor wastewater system.
Follow lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
Consider all safety precautions and properisolation of live circuits.
Take proper care of tools and equipment.
Utilize personal safety procedures whenperforming job duties, ensure that equipment is operating safety and hasreturned all safety guards.
After training, may be requiredto handle hazardous waste accumulation. Temporary job assignments to other shiftsand/or departments may be required to maintain production.
Work with hot water, pressure washers andsteam systems.
Must maintain a clean, safe and orderly workarea. Responsible for food product quality andsafety. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
Technical or trade school courses orcertification a plus.
Must be proficient in use of hand held tools,such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
Must have general knowledge of electrical testequipment such as multi-meters and ammeters.
Good writing, reading. Comprehension and oralcommunication sills are necessary.
Must be proficient in the operation ofequipment, such as scissor lifts, forklifts and electric lifts. Valid Class C drivers
Must have working knowledge of personalcomputers.
Job involves being on the feet most of thetime with considerable lifting, pulling and carrying.
Frequently, incumbent may have to crawl overor under equipment to clean, Duties are performed with some exposure tonoise, lubricants, chemicals and occasionally hot or cold working conditions.
Must be able to work every weekend, overtimeas required.
Must be able to occasionally lift a minimum of50 pounds or occasionally with assistance lift items weighing up to 100 pounds.Must be able to work well with co-workers.
