Any Food or Beverage Experience
College degree preferred in appropriate discipline or a combination of experience and technical training.
Licenses as required by the state, county, city or industry
Five or more years in plant sanitation management. Preferably in an industrial bakery
Knowledge and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
Demonstrated knowledge in pest control and other requirements
Maintain PCO certification (Pesticide application/Baiting and Insect Identification).
Must possess a valid license to operate forklift
Physically capable of moving to all areas of the plant. Must be capable of reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and pulling as required in a production operation
Able to climb ladders, crawl under equipment and work in tight spaces
Able to generate written and verbal communications clearly and distinctly
Able to read, comprehend and practice necessary safety procedures, signs, etc
Able to research, develop, implement and monitor required policies and procedures
Able to generate advanced, detailed reports via spreadsheets, memos/letters, email, etc. using a PC
Performance of other duties as assigned by Plant General Manager or ownership.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, bend, and use hands and fingers. This position requires the employee to be able to read, write, and communicate orally in English. Also, this role may be required to lift up to 70 lbs.

In performing the duties of this job, the sanitation manager is exposed to wet or humid conditions, hot or cold climate, work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level of the work environment is considered moderate to loud.
To complete the duties of this job, the plant manager must have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The sanitation manager must complete all annual safety training, ergonomics, and any specialized and/or skill ware training this is required to perform his/her job.
