The Sales Finance Manager owns Topline performance and strategy and is the key business partner to the Sales and Sales Planning teams. The position manages revenue reporting and forecasting on a monthly basis and develops long-term revenue strategy in support of Strategic Planning and AOP.

Dip into This Role
  • Collaborates with Sales Planning to create accurate Volume, Trade and Net Sales forecasts and annual plans
  • Oversees the Financial Analyst, Sales Finance in managing trade liabilities and Selling expenses, assessing settlements to date and expected future needs for monthly forecasts and annual planning
  • Provides Customer/Package/Brand insights with respect to performance, forecast changes and risk/opportunities
  • Leads period close reviews, forecast updates, trade liability reviews and Annual Operating Plan process
  • Owns Customer P&Ls based on product level P&Ls maintained by Marketing Finance for core portfolio and supports literacy in Sales organization (this task was shifted to Steve once Yufan left, should bring it back to this role)
  • Develops, mentors and manages Financial Analyst, Sales Finance
  • Lead the Sales Finance perspective for monthly topline close and customer P&Ls as part of the development of new TPM tool
  • Lead the development of all Topline related IT reporting automation projects

Recipe for Success
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in Finance; Consumer Products experience preferred
  • Independent thought-leader; self-motivated and self-directed work style; ability to work with a diverse team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, pay close attention to detail and meet business-driven deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate clear direction and influence others
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, array of formulas, work with large sums of data, modeling); solid PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of SAP or general ERP system experience
  • Sound understanding of the complexity of business issues faced internally and externally
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
