Tropical Harvest has grown to become one the top importers of frozen seafood in the United States. We need a motivated, results driven Sales Account manager to handle our existing customers as well as source new sales opportunities. 

The successful candidate will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to tap into those needs and desires in an effective way. If you are competitive, financially motivated, capable of meeting all sales goals, we are excited to talk with you.

Core Responsibilities

  • Works independently in both a remote/corp. office setting with minimal need for guidance on a variety of projects.
  • Track history of successfully conducting account calls and generating repeat weekly sales orders from a list of pre-qualified customer accounts.
  • Ability to prepare sales reports, gathering, summarizing, and analyzing account data; organizes and maintains correspondence and records, following up on pending matters with limited or no direction.
  • Pro-actively manage and maintain an accurate and detailed understanding of our companies inbound and outbound purchase orders & delivery obligations for all personally generated sales acquired. 
  • Submit orders (PO’s) and follow up with customers on product delivery ETA’s.
  • Maintain a clear understanding on our products, trends, pricing adjustments & technical information.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3 years sales experience & successful track record history for generating new accounts.
  • Ability to multi-task, be self-motivated & have excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Documented history of conducting account calls to end-user customer accounts to generate new weekly sales.
  • Proactive mentality and ability to complete tasks, based on internal email requests via suppliers, logistics & end-user accounts.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently after instruction.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Dependable & able to work Mon - Fri 9am-5pm in a combination role which consist of a home-remote-based office as well as our Springfield, NJ corporate office without supervision. 
  • Detail oriented, especially when following up with customers & co-workers.

Minimum Education: “Preferred”

  • AA degree in Business Administration “or” 3-4 years’ experience calling on relative end-user customer accounts.
