The purpose of this position is to assist the site SHE Manager in the overall management of the site safety program. The incumbent will develop and implement safety policies and procedures, lead and direct the Safety Functional Leader Program, create and deliver weekly training topics, conduct incident investigations to determine root cause, develop corrective actions to address gaps identified in the analysis of safety data to include incident investigations, BOS program and near miss reports. Also maintains oversite of the safety recognition program.


  • Leads and coordinate the plant SFL program to ensure compliance in each safety key element to meet regulatory and McCormick&##39;s safety standards.
  • Maintains plant safety documentation and records
  • Ensures plant wide communication of safety programs, initiatives, training and awareness
  • Maintains the OHM database for the site to document incident investigations, near miss reports, corrective actions, OSHA logs and JSA&##39;s.
  • Leads and maintains monthly plant inspections
  • Leads safety investigations
  • Coordinates outside training as required for SFL&##39;s, Key Element Owners and CPR
  • Analyzes safety data to develop action plans to drive out unsafe conditions and behaviors to achieve a 0 TIR (Total Incident Rate)
  • Maintains oversite of safety recognition program
  • First point of contact for site safety concerns


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least one year experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have the ability to solve problems in a logical manner.
  • Must be able to conduct a data analysis to develop action plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork with various departments.
