Reports to EHS Mgr

JOB SUMMARY: Develops and implements safety procedures tomaximize safety for all plant employees. Provides various human resources functions to support the HumanResources Manager.


1. Identifies and evaluateshazardous conditions and practices, developing practices and programs tocorrect or reduce their occurrence. (20%)

2. Processes workersu2019compensation claims (including doctor appointments, first insurance reports,payment of medical bills, review of medical reports, and contact with doctors,insurers, lawyers, and employee counseling) to ensure responsiveness, accuracy,thoroughness, and timeliness. (10%)

3. Provides assistance to plantpersonnel to improve safety and health of all employees. (15%)

4. Investigates and reports onserious injuries to line or staff employees. (10%)

5. Reviews company accidentstatistics and recommends corrections to improve overall employee health andsafety. (10%)

6. Develops, plans, andconducts training programs to ensure understanding of and compliance with companypolicies and procedures. (10%)

7. Investigates and responds toemployee complaints, unemployment claims, and workersu2019 compensation claims toprovide high quality internal customer service. (10%)

8. Assists in new hireorientations and monthly mandatory safety trainings for all associates. (10%)

9. Attends and participates indepartment safety meetings. (5%)

1. Performs other related andassigned duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:


Bacheloru2019s degree in safetyengineering or related field from an accredited college or university


3 to 6 years of relevantwork experience in manufacturing safety and human resources.
