Harper Associates has been retained by Chelsea Milling Company to recruit an experienced CPG Sales Manager to manage HQ accounts for some of the nation's largest retailers. Jiffy Mix is the ##1 selling dry baking mix nationwide! Work from home and travel 4 days/week.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Immerse in the company's culture of interdependent communication and decision making. Must be able to listen and understand varied points of view in CMC's flat organization structure, where status, power, and authority are de-emphasized
  • Work cross-functionally with administration, accounting, logistics, accounts receivable, customer service, information services, sales, and other stakeholders to achieve goals and solve problems
  • Get to know customers and their market better than anyone else
  • Maintain regular contact with all customers, including at least 3 visits per year
  • Responsible for the effective and profitable allocation of all ‘Jiffy Mix’ merchandising and promotional funds within a market
  • Develop all promotional offers and allocate appropriate Jiffy Merchandising Funds per customer in your market
  • Visit each Broker in a designated region on a regular and consistent basis
  • Review the outcome of Goals & Objectives that were established during last visit with Account Executive
  • Review with AE sales statistics, distribution, JMF, promotional opportunities, deductions and customer merchandising planning schedules
  • Meet regularly with the Broker’s Administration assistants, Retail Supervisors and Account Executives
  • Train the Broker’s staff on CMC’s product knowledge, policies and procedures
  •  Work with Broker to identify new customers
  • Prior to leaving a Broker identify new Goals & Observations for action by Broker prior to next visit
  • Complete Retail Audits as needed within each market

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experience, managing broker teams in a retail food CPG environment
  • Experience using a CRM system or Trade Fund Management software to manage workflows
  • Strong experience making HQ calls for large grocery chains
  • Experience selling for a company that ships directly to customers' warehouses, as opposed to DSD
  • Dry grocery item / baking aisle experience strongly preferred
  • Strong computer, communication and presentation skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent relationship building skills
