R&D Technician in Tifton GA

A rapidly growing name in the food industry is looking for an R&D Technician to join their team and grow with the company. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to get their first job in the industry!

This is an exciting position that will put you in a position where you will be helping develop new products that sit on grocery shelves all over the country! This will involve documentation, evaluation, and execution from concept to commercial launch.

Responsibilities

• Gather, evaluate, and develop technical information such as specifications, nutritional data, shelf life and regulatory information on potential ingredients to be used
• Make use of the Product Development Laboratory to formulate and prepare samples for testing
• Identify new ingredients and suppliers
• Obtain and maintain relevant certification(s) for new and existing products
• Ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards, as well as best manufacturing processes

Requirements

• Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or similar field (will consider those who are near graduation as well)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
