Opportunity: Full-time Quality Technician at our Lancaster, PA facility

Shift: Twelve-hour shifts (Week1: Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun - Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri)


Wages: $19.00/hour with extra pay for working night shift

$1.25 extra per hour on night shift

QA Tech Role Expectations:
  • Assure that quality assurance standards and documents are communicated and enforced by conducting daily inspections
  • Performs environmental swabbing of production equipment and environment with analysis of results
  • Prepares written documents describing analysis techniques and test results; writes SOP's and other quality documents and reports
  • Communicate with all levels of the organization in review of test results, including written and verbal forms
  • Enters quality-related work orders into SAP
  • Gather special samples for additional incubation and defects audits as directed
  • Provide support for sample gathering and data recording for plant trials, 1100's and research efforts
  • Perform audits to verify compliance with established SOP documentation, GMP's, HACCP and Safe Quality Food SQF) efforts
  • Assists with the coordination, performance, and documentation remediation of product on hold
  • Reviews regulatory documentation for product release (i.e. record review)
  • Maintains inventory of materials related to microbiological testing and coordinates shipments of samples
  • Participates and leads process improvement projects
  • Coordinates and participates in quality inspection pallet tear-down
  • Participates and leads quality meetings and training
  • Supports the assessment and management of Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Assists with the compilation of nutritional or customer required sampling
  • Assists with the implementation of quality initiatives
  • Determines SAP usage decisions on bulk deliveries
  • Monitors and reviews SPC data and reports
  • Updates sampling plans
  • Maintains product specifications documentation for production
  • Monitor the HACCP Program and processes, reflecting a focus on continuous improvement With the customer complaint process and the product complaint process, including investigation, analysis, follow up, documentation, trending, and routine internal reporting to leadership
  • Communicate routinely with Quality Team Leader and plant leadership, identifying opportunities for improvement, training and quality assurance program goals or barriers
  • Exudes a high degree of inter-personal skills and has the ability to work well with everyone
  • Follows and enforces standards for food safety and food quality production reflected in SQF as well as the regulations of major vendors and governmental agencies such as OSHA, FDA and EPA and assures associates are consistently trained in these standards and comply with all requirements
  • Performs special assignments as directed
