Quality Assurance Manager
In this key role, you will lead efforts to ensure the reputation for Quality excellence and compliance with food safety regulatory standards. As the leader of quality assurance processes, you will ensure that the products manufactured and/or distributed by the company to comply with all food safety regulatory standards, company, and customer standards.
As QA Manager, you will be empowered to protect the best interests of our customers, our company, our brands, and the brands that we co-manufacture. The QA Manager must have the ability to confidently make decisions which will continue to expand the growth of our quality products.
Work Performed:
- Ensuring proper management and assignment of day-to-day activities related to food safety and quality, HACCP programs, GMP and quality training programs, environmental testing programs, and data analysis of key quality indicators with weekly reports/calls to company owners and senior leaders daily.
- Leading Quality Assurance Associates, including staffing, proper training and delivering employee performance evaluations.
- Ensuring compliance to Food Regulatory Agencies, Global Food Safety Initiatives (GFSI), SQF Level 3, customer, and company quality standards daily.
- Reviewing customer complaint and consumer complaint data, including the investigation and proper resolution of quality-related product issues to ensure proper actions have been taken to ensure integrity of product, equipment, and facility, including proper documentation and reporting of these events daily.
Minimum Qualifications
Education – BS / BA in related field.
Experience –3+ years in a food industry Quality Assurance role that includes leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
PCQI Certification; SQF Practitioner Certification; HACCP Certification.
