General Purpose:

The QA Technician is responsible for performing, recording, and interpreting the results of all required testing; handling and shipping of all required samples; communicating any quality issues to appropriate people; maintaining and verifying the calibration of lab equipment; cleaning the lab and equipment; and providing coverage for QA personnel due to vacations, illness, or other requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare composite product samples for internal and external labs and coordinate delivery to labs
  • Perform grading analysis on finished products
  • Perform testing of environmental samples
  • Prepare daily lab reports
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Verify samples are representative of the complete lot for lab testing
  • Provide accurate testing and test results for product disposition
  • Guarantee accuracy of lab test equipment
  • Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
  • Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
  • Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
  • Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity
  • Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)

  • HIRING BONUS - $1,000 awarded after 90 day completition.
