OVERVIEW

Perfetti Van Melle - one of the world&##39;s largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide - is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Project Management Office Lead to join our North America Operations Team. This role will provide leadership oversight for all projects within NA Operations and will also serve as the primary project manager for select large scale projects.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Project Management Office (PMO) Lead will be responsible for establishing, managing, and coordinating all project activities for North America (USA, Mexico) Operations teams. The PMO Lead is an individual contributor, leadership role that will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders such as the Operations, Engineering, Commercial and Finance teams to ensure project deliverables are established and completed on time with consideration to project timeline and objectives. Additionally, this role will maintain operational excellence, effective project execution, and oversight for various project phases and lifecycles either by collaborating with interdepartmental teams or directly managing project lifespans. The PMO Lead will report to the VP of North America Operations. Specific responsibilities for the PMO Lead role includes:

  • Provide guidance in the planning, design, and prioritization of business initiatives and projects as defined by the VP of NA Operations.
  • Oversight for key supply initiatives by working with the NA Operations Leadership Team to manage projects, participate in S&OP processes, collaborate with other team leaders, resolve issues, and drive the success of business initiatives.
  • Manage a Project Master Map and Agenda and make recommendations for resource allocations.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor target KPIs for each major business process.
  • Support Plant Managers to overcome obstacles and implement changes, ultimately leading to the improvement of plant operations with minimal disruption.
  • Lead Project Delivery Teams and coordinate improvement agendas for inter-departmental projects.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics or similar disciplines, or 4+ years of relevant experience in similar fields.
  • 4+ years of work experience in manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Prior experience managing and delivering results in large projects, involving senior managers and complex change management.
  • Lean manufacturing experience with ability to implement business and systems process changes.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of business process orientation, S&OP, supply chain, manufacturing, plant maintenance, and buying processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
