A Process Project Engineer is responsible for leading the development, design and validation of new manufacturing processes and to serve as a technical subject matter expert and provide technical guidance both tactical and strategic. This role serves to drive growth, efficiency and quality through process development and continuous improvement.

The Process Project Engineer will focus primarily on the following accountabilities:

  • Brings strong engineering skills to the position. Serves as a technical expert in their field, and as technical consultant to other team members.
  • Design, develop and manage construction of new production and raw material processing areas.
  • Owner of process specifications that deliver quality product at expected scale.
  • Strong project management competency for meeting budget and timing on project execution.
  • Leader within community for raw materials and production practices standardization.
  • Support operators’ and technicians’ development through coaching and mentoring.

  • Ensure the project delivers the highest possible level of safety standards and quality compliance, while meeting all productions goals.
  • Capable to lead and collaborate in cross-functional teams. Build and maintain collaborative relationships between internal (cross functional and across regions) and external (suppliers and trade groups) partners in different geographic locations.
  • Able to deal with complexity and ambiguity and effectively communicate while solving conflict with multi-plant teams through virtual and face to face interactions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural, Chemical, Mechanical or Food Process Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of experience across one or more industries with design and project emphasis in the Food and Beverage industry.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Computer literate with MS Office product offerings including Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc, proficiency in AutoCad is a plus

The preferred candidate will possess the following:

 

  • Familiarity with high speed food manufacturing processes (preferably related to salty snacks, baking or confectionery.
