This full time, permanent Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) Engineer / Automation Integrator career opportunity provides the opportunity to advance to become Partner. The position is available due to the high demand for the company&##39;s products. The company turns down business because the food industry demand for their custom start-to-finish applications is so great. Working from home may become a possibility.

Employees here get a lot of freedom and are able to do what they want to do to get the job done. Projects have a lot of variety so employees never get bored and can really grow there skills. Products are new and never repetitive as customers and their needs vary greatly. Often times, project work has never been done anywhere as applications don’t currently exist. The company really excels with processes that have never been done before. The company niche is the food industry.

The successful candidate should be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing projects as an Automation Integrator with the Process Control Integrator
  • Designing projects
  • Installing projects
  • Managing projects
  • Working with the customer
  • Traveling on-site to consult with customers
  • Programming Rockwell Automation and Allen Bradley PLCs

The background of the successful candidate should include the following:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering or equivalent (or an Associates Degree with additional experience)
  • Four years of process automation and/or process controls experience
  • Ability to work independently with occasional teamwork
  • Ability to do PLC Programming at a customer site, when needed
  • Ability to travel almost entirely within the United States (there is a very small possibility of very rare travel to Mexico or Canada)
  • Possess a self-driven, self-motivated mindset

Preferred but not required experience may include any of the following:

  • An interest in being promoted to Partner is preferred but not required
  • A background working with food industry equipment is preferred but not required
