Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Directly supervises personnel in the day-to-day production operations of the business to achieve yields, gross margins, scheduling, both raw and finished goods. 
  • Daily set up, delegations, and organization of work for the shift’s food production lines.
  • Supervisors plant shutdown process and perform plant sanitation inspections.
  • Manages, trains, and cross-trains direct reports on safety, production, and GMP regulations
  • Identifies and develops team members for promotional opportunities throughout the facilities.
  • Works closely with all departments in addressing specific issues.
  • Supports maintenance in equipment troubleshooting and determining priorities when there are multiple problems.
  • Assists warehouse when needed and transfers supplies between 2 facilities.
  • Provides label computer and printer support when there are difficulties. Verifies that running conditions are within parameters.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with other production coordinators and supervisors to ensure continuity between shifts.
  • Conduct daily review of timecards, missing punches, and coaching when appropriate.
  • As an active participant, coordinate with Human Resources the recruitment, selection, training & development, and retention of qualified talent in all operational areas. Advocate for food safety culture and practice GMP regulations.
  • Work is varied and requires the interpretation of technical and detailed guidelines, policies, and procedures. Broad guidelines must be interpreted to develop and implement programs or procedures to achieve work results. Responsible for analyzing and solving complex problems.
  • Evaluate processes and methods and recommendations on continuous improvement methods, equipment performance, utilization of people, and quality of product and safety objectives.
  • Acts as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems regarding production, quality, and work problems as appropriate.? 
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma required. Education beyond high school preferred.
  • 3 years or more experience in the manufacturing and/or food processing environment is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to read and understand all production paperwork.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be familiar with and able to use label printers, measuring devices equipment.
