Position Objective

The Production Supervisor is responsible to complete the production schedule efficiently with no safety or food safety issues and no quality deviations utilizing the optimum number of trained and empowered individuals. The job function is comprised of four key operational criteria: Safety, Quality, Efficiency and Analysis. Working closely with the Plant Manager, Director of Quality and Safety Manager the Supervisor will develop tactics aimed at achieving strategic company goals.

The Supervisor acts as Team Coach, developing executable day to day and week to week game plans and supporting tactics to achieve departmental goals

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities for Success

  • Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to implement effective protocols
  • Advanced understanding of Food Safety/GMP standards and policies and ability to successfully apply to processes
  • Advance knowledge of Employment Laws and Regulations and ability to address sensitive situations with tact, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Highly developed leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to apply mathematical formulas and analysis to practical manufacturing situations
  • Ability to identify, gather, interpret, and analyze various data sets, formulate a sound hypothesis, develop appropriate corrective action plans, effectively execute plans, analyze and present results.
  • Ability to effectively interpret company policy and make consistent decisions in a legally defensible manner
  • Ability to effectively utilize technology and internal systems (HRIS, WMS, Microsoft, etc)

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years leadership experience
  • Must be or become certified in 1st aid, CPR, & AED within the first 6 months
  • OSHA 30hr Certified within the first 6 months

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of food manufacturing experience
  • 3+ years of leadership experience
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish
