Production Supervisor- 3rd Shift

We  are working  on a Production Supervisor  role with a national dairy manufacturer for their large dairy plant located the Greater Southern Buffalo, NY area. The ideal candidate will have a solid background working in food and/or dairy manufacturing and previous supervisory experience in a food manufacturing setting. Please apply if interested!  


Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Responsible for the direct supervision of production employees to maximize productivity
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality & production procedures, policies and regulations are followed
  • Organize the daily activities of personnel to effectively manage and ensure the flow of production
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all manufacturing processes & equipment
  • Train, evaluate & review all production shift employees
  • Ensure that the established policy rules, regulations, and procedures are followed
  • Complete all required reports properly and accurately
  • Maintain and ensure a safe, efficient and effective work environment
  • Recommends improvements to production methods, equipment, and products
  • Collaborates with other supervisors to coordinate activities of departments
  • Coach and discipline employees when applicable
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Plan, prioritize & organize work to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Performs other duties and/or assignments as directed


Required Skills/Qualifications (including but not limited to):

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Must have 1-3+ years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility
  • A solid background working in food manufacturing is required; experience in dairy manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Needs to be experienced and proficient with Microsoft Office and its programs, as well as the internet and using database systems
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends, days, evenings, holidays and on call as needed
  • Needs to be able to plan, prioritize & organize work while effectively handling multiple projects at one time with track record of successfully completing them
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, & other physical activities necessary to perform job duties that may require to be performed for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be a positive team player who will work effectively with everyone
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment background, drug and criminal screens
