Production Manager

· Directly manage supervisors and associated plant personnel functioning in an active 24/7 production environment.

· Facilitate, enhance and confirm compliance with all company mandates, safety procedures, GMPs, HACCP and quality objectives

· Ensure that sales orders are manufactured correctly in a cost-effective manner and delivered on time in accordance to customer specification and quality requirements

· Communicate effectively throughout the organization to ensure production output and on time delivery targets are achieved.

· Plan and administer scheduling and workload to ensure production output and on time delivery targets are achieved in a cost-effective manner.

· Maintain budgeted headcount and ensure proper competence, skill and training that achieve production targets.

· Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local requirements

· Responsible for operation layout, automation improvement recommendations and budget adherence.

  • Lead and mentor direct reports and plant personnel in efficient operations and business skills development
  • Maintain or exceed KPIs on yields and efficiencies, in a continuous improvement atmosphere
  • Initiate and modify cost control programs that assist company competitiveness.



· 5 years of progressive management experience required; food manufacturing background preferred.

· Bachelor’s degree preferred, may substitute relevant progressive food production management experience

· Strong math, analytical, organizational skills and ability to prioritize workloads

· Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential

· Must be able to evaluate information quickly, identify key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgment and experience.

· Must have a strong sense of personal ownership while maintaining a team-oriented environment

· Must be able to work effectively in a dynamic multi-tasking environment

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
