Build a better future as a Product Manager for our Go-to-Market Team. The Product Manager drives and secures the development, performance, and profitability of a commercially attractive portfolio, reflecting market and customer needs in the Food Ingredients segment.

Your Role:

  • Owner of the product portfolio – maintains and develops the right product portfolio and the segmented value propositions, positioning and profitability expectation across the product portfolio
  • Owner of the New Product Development pipeline – gathers market insights continuously in a structured way to make sure that the pipeline reflects future market needs and opportunities
  • Be part of the GTM activities together with Sales and Customer Innovation, and be the link to the internal part of the value chain together with the Technical Product Manager

Your Responsibilities:

  • Translates business strategy into product strategy
  • Reviews market insights and steer the frontend loading activities incl. the assessment of protective barriers e.g. IP
  • Manages and develops the product portfolio and conduct yearly review incl. links to the technical review
  • Monitors, guides and sets expectations regarding product margins securing profitability targets are met
  • Ensures validated value proposition are created and insights on key differentiators are high-lighted
  • Be the gate keeper for new products and product deletions - making sure specifications are set, thresholds met, and the product classification is correct
  • Ensures new products are ready to be launched in alignment with Marketing
  • Responsible for providing the input for the product marketing incl. demo kits in order to have a more accurate strategic marketing plan.
  • Be the product champion which together with CI educate the sales team and distributors on the value propositions
  • Reviews and quality assures input to the Supply chain as to the medium- and long-term strategic planning

Your Accountability:

  • Identification, development, and management of a portfolio reflecting regional, segmented product application and customer needs – conduct yearly commercial portfolio review
  • Product and portfolio attractiveness, competitiveness, performance and development (volume and value) delivering as to the profitability targets
  • Strategic demand input is gathered and reported to the supply chain

Your Experience Includes:

  • BS or MBA in Marketing
  • 5 – 7 years of product management experience in a food ingredient company
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US, now and in the future, without sponsorship
