What We Need:

  • We need a Processing Lead is responsible for carrying out the daily tasks in the Process Kitchens, including but not limited to: staging ingredients for recipes, making quality recipes, and ensuring proper GMP&##39;s, recipe instructions, and packing temperatures are adhered to throughout the batching process.

What You Will Do:

  • You will prep area for production startup
  • You will gain knowledge of each ingredient, its specifications and allergen status.
  • You will learn how to complete all the tasks in their assigned area and be capable of training others how to complete them.
  • You conduct a preflight inspection of assigned area, monitor and audit recordkeeping, housekeeping, and production status.
  • You ensure a successful startup.
  • You ensure that assigned area is functional and on schedule.
  • You communicate with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and production.
  • You send operators on breaks and provide coverage for them.
  • You train new employees.
  • You will verify paperwork is being completed for HACCP, Lot Tracking, washouts, pre-shift, and post-shift.
  • You will verify that washouts are completed properly and in a timely manner.
  • You maintain a clean and organized working environment.
  • You ensure that returned ingredient containers are labeled, cleaned, sealed, and marked for return
  • You will operate touch screen computer when necessary
  • You will communicate with the production lead as to the beginning and end of product runs, washouts, and anticipated downtime.
  • You will notify processing coordinator or supervisor of any maintenance of any equipment break downs or quality issues.
  • You will make sure team members are complying with GMP and PPE requirements.
  • You will troubleshoot minor problems.
  • You will monitor performance of production to ensure kitchen doesn&##39;t get to far ahead in the event we must cut batches.

What You Need:

  • Minimum Associate degree in or other related field
  • Minimum two (2) years&##39; experience in leadership
  • 6 months of continuous manufacturing and/or processing experience preferred
  • Ability to identify Allergens
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Professionalism, problem solving, attention to detail
  • High energy, self-motivated, dedicated, and hardworking in fast paced working environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
  • Must be able to push or pull 50 to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work 12 hours shifts in a non-temperature-controlled environment
  • Must be able to handle milk, egg, mustard, peanuts, fish, sulfites, sesame, soy, tree nuts, and wheat allergens
