Industry-leading food & beverage producer looking for a Plant Manager at their Orange County, Calif. production plant. The Plant Manager will grow company value by ensuring efficient, timely and cost effective manufacturing, shipment of high quality products in a regulated environment; contribute to the strategic planning of the organization while demonstrating servant leadership. The Plant Manager will foster a culture of continuous improvement and develop strong relationships at all levels of the organization. This position is responsible for all operational and financial aspects of manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and company facilities. Base salary $160k/yr. to $180k/yr. plus 20% bonus (paying out at close to 100% last several years). Business is strong, running 3 shifts, 300 non-union employees (should be at approx. 350 by December). In this highly-visible role you will be responsible for approx. 9 salaried managers and the oversight of a major $30 mil.+ capital project in a plant producing approx. 57 million cases/yr. of finished goods. • Servant leader mentality, with emphasis on building relationships and growth of employees. • Success in implementing change and attaining effective teamwork while maintaining functional excellence. • Entrepreneurial outlook, accountable, and strong at execution. • Successful history of change implementation. • Demonstrated experience working on a high-volume and variability production floor, ability to quickly understand needs of configure to order, and build to order manufacturing environments. • Advocate of Lean Manufacturing. • Strong understanding of ERP systems preferred. • Solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices. • Proven applied knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and methodologies is essentials. • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and tasks with clear prioritization and organization. • Knowledgeable in Food Production Safety. Experienced in executing FDA, GMPs. • Solid knowledge of OSHA compliant workplace safety practices. • Able to work well with all levels of employees and managers. • Competent in use of Excel, Word and Outlook. Education and/or Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, related degree or equivalent experience required. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or Manufacturing definitely a plus. The next step in the evolution of this organization could be an acquisition and/or a new plant “Greenfield” build.
