Head up the Demand Planning function in AsPac for multiple product categories to provide excellent service to our customers and support the commercial team on business growth. Acts as the central collaboration hub for the commercial team, steering commercial demand decisions that will drive all downstream supply balancing requirements. Through demand analytics that combine statistical forecasts (i.e. baseline) and direct market input from the sales force, the Planning Manager directs commercial decisions to establish final consensus demand. The ultimate objective is to provide the business with the most accurate demand forecast, resulting in optimal supply positions that fully support growing customer needs. Additional responsibilities include Supply Chain improvement projects for the AsPac region and working closely with other Supply Chain, Commercial Strategy & Procurement teams to improve communications. Planning Manager will work closely with VP AsPac and Global Supply Chain to monitor all orders coming into the system and align with the finance budget and AsPac monthly allocation of product.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Lead monthly Demand Review meetings with key stakeholders (commercial team, product mgt., finance, etc.) as part of the recurring S&OP cycle to illustrate forecast performance, risks and opportunities.
  • Drive the required analytics activity to support the S&OP Demand Review and balancing forums, providing the basis for steering key commercial decisions.
  • Work together with VP AsPac and Commercial Directors and Managers in the region to analyses the monthly forecast both on volume and price. Review monthly with each Commercial Manager to make the AsPac forecast aligns with finance budgets and allocations for the region.
  • Working with Global Supply Chain teams to continuously improve internal communication through building understanding and providing accurate information
  • Own forecast accuracy metrics and reporting. Hold commercial forecast review meetings to drive improvement.
    • Determine root cause of variations – data or sales/customer inputs.
    • Develop strategies to tighten adherence to targets.
  • Lead supply chain improvement project(s) in AsPac
  • Work closely with the Commercial Managers and Supply Chain Planner to monitor each order in the system to ensure right pricing and the volumes as per budgets and allocations.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales colleagues in US;
  • Assist VP AsPac to develop and update the monthly forecasts: Volume and price advice for budget and forecast update in system
  • Assist VP AsPac to update business performance vs KPIs.
  • Work closely with finance team and production planning team in US to clarify all allocation related questions;
  • Work together with finance staff to assist the VP AsPac with yearly budget preparation
  • Create and participate in Supply Chain department KPI reporting and measurements
  • Order Allocation: follow up on certain cases together with customer service team
  • Be Familiar with IT systems operations, such as SAP/JDA/BO
  • Share local or US dairy industry economics updates as appropriate
  • Additional duties as assigned by the VP AsPac and/ or Planning Director
  • Support other Supply Chain functions in the region, backfill as needed.
