General Summary

Responsible for loading and unloading trucks; inventory control; stages orders; provides production with raw and packaging materials, receives goods in the computer system; keeps a neat and orderly warehouse while maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices .

Essential Functions

  • Perform visual inspection of product received from production ensuring quality is acceptable.
  • Utilize SAP system to create process orders, product tags, stock transfers, receive PO(s) and other appropriate receiving functions per work instructions.
  • Provides raw and packaging material to production per the requisition and records transfer in the SAP system.
  • Loads finished product to trucks, using proper handling procedures and records the transfer on the manual loading diagram.
  • At the end of the shift, reconcile signed production report against issued tags. Report to supervisor any discrepancies found and final solution when applicable.
  • Ability to identify all materials and raw materials required by production and other plants.
  • Knowledge of appropriate dates and codes use in rotation of materials and raw materials.
  • Organizes all materials in a manner that will be easily identified with an approved tag.
  • Prepares, verifies, and loads orders of materials and raw materials for any requisition from the plant
  • Loads and unloads trailers with materials, raw materials, and/or machinery that gets delivered to the plant and can affect the daily work.
  • Keeps work area clean. Perform cleaning of area assigned.
  • Provide suggestions to improve process, procedures and department in support of company goals
  • Follow GMP and Safety policies to ensure compliance with the HACCP program and AIB gold standard.
  • Follows all food safety principles and legal requirements.
  • Maintain familiarity with all finished products, raw and packaging materials.

  • Maintains a positive and constructive work environment within the department as well as with other departments and promotes teamwork.
  • Participates in monthly departmental communication meetings.

  • Must work various shifts and hours including holidays and weekends.
  • Works in a safe manner, observing all safety requirements.

  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience:

1 year of warehouse experience.

Or

1 yr. of experience at mission in a similar position but must be able to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.

Certifications: Forklift Certified

Skills & Abilities:

Basic Math

English/Spanish

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above.
