This is a great opportunity for an OPERATIONS SUPERINTENDENT/OPERATIONS MANAGER WITH A COMPLETED BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN ENGINEERING and at least 10 years of successful experience working in a similar role. This role is in Schenechtady, New York, approximately 23 miles northeast of Albany, New York.

Job Overview:

This position will be based at a medium-sized food ingredient manufacturing facility that is owned by a world-class manufacturing company. This facility has three shifts and uses a dry blending process. ~50% of the job will be supervising and supporting the operators on the floor, and the other 50% will be working with the environmental, quality, and maintenance staff in cross-functional teams to analyze data and improve production. 

This person will report to the plant manager and will directly oversee a team of shift supervisors who have about 100 operators and hourly folks under them. The company s looking for someone who is hungry for career growth as they are offering great advancement potential, either at this site or to one of their 20+ facilities in the US. Additionally, the client is offering a generous compensation package, with full medical and retirement benefits. Relocation assistance is also available if needed.

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering , Engineering degree is MANDATORY.
  • 10+ years of post-college, industry experience in foods manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, electronic assembly, or automotive
  • 8+ years of experience supervising a team of at least 20+ personnel with second-level supervision
  • Highly motivated personality with ambition to move into plant management
  • Batch processing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Candidates should either live within a commutable distance of one hour or less of the stated city OR be able to relocate to that location in a timely fashion of one month or less with relocation assistance.
  • The ability to relocate again with the company in the future is preferred but not required.
  • Candidates must be PERMANENTLY ELIGIBLE to work in the United States without sponsorship of any type required nor or at any point in the future with no exceptions.
